In 2012, second-generation builder
Joseph Young founded Coastline
Construction with the goal of growing a company that would be committed
to the highest standards of
craftsmanship and communication .
Now, almost a decade later, Coastline's management team is led by some of the Cape's most experienced and knowledgeable building professionals. Joe's original commitment to excellence remains deeply ingrained in Coastline's culture, which might be why so many of our new projects are referred to us by repeat clients who've become more like friends
OUR PROCESS
We understand that building, renovating or adding on to your home can be both exciting and stressful. From our first conversation, we listen carefully to your vision, then develop a plan for making that vision a reality. Our design-build system works to anticipate all possible costs before the first nail is driven, lessening the likelihood for unwanted surprises. Our extensive experience working with building departments and historic/conservation committees in towns across the Cape means that homeowners who choose Coastline can expect a smoother permitting process. As we take your home from before to after, our team members keep you apprised of the process through regular phone calls, emails and photo and video updates.

A second-generation builder with more than two decades of experience, Joe learned the principles of construction while working alongside his father and brother in the hurricane-prone Florida Keys, home to some of the country's toughest building codes. It was there that he mastered the art of pairing exceptionally strong structure with beautifully refined finishes. Joe moved to Cape Cod in 2011 and fell in love with the area's historic architecture, setting himself on a path that would lead to the renovations of several 1800s-era homes in the years to come. A stickler for quality, Joe personally oversees all crews on Coastline's job sites, ensuring that each detail is completed to perfection. He lives in Orleans with his wife and two daughters.
SHAWN DOYLE

Co-Founder/Owner
Shawn's wealth of knowledge in roofing, exterior remodeling and project management makes him an invaluable member of Coastline's team. He came to Coastline in 2016, after owning and operating a successful roofing company for more than 16 years. A native of East Orleans, Shawn has worked with almost every building department, historic board and conservation committee on Cape Cod, giving him a strong understanding of the area's complex building and aesthetic regulations and how to navigate them.
JACK WISHART

Jack returned to Cape Cod in 2014 after spending eight years with a large geotechnical engineering and construction firm. While there, he coordinated drilling operations across the state of Virginia and managed drilling and environmental sampling for multiple federal agencies. Those work experiences were driven by careful study and precise execution of multi-phase construction plans, so it’s no surprise that Jack has turned his experience and passion into plan design. Now, Jack particularly enjoys working with Coastline’s clients to create custom solutions for their spaces. Jack lives in Sandwich and spends much of his free time on the water in search of striped bass.
